Model Code Change for NDP-40, NDP-50 and NDP-80 Pumps

Effective January 1, 2027

Yamada would like to inform you of an upcoming model code change for the NDP-40, NDP-50 and NDP-80 pumps and kits equipped with TU diaphragms. As of January 1, 2027, the model code indication for these pumps and kits will change from TU to W.

What is changing?

The new letter W indicates that the pump is equipped with nopped TU diaphragms. This change makes it easier to identify the diaphragm design used in the pump and aligns the model code with the diaphragm type.

There will be no technical changes to the affected pumps. The TU diaphragms used in sizes 40, 50 and 80 already have a nopped design. This means that the current pumps identified with TU and the new pumps identified with W are technically identical. The pump design and specifications will remain unchanged; only the model code indication will be different.

The change applies to the standard pump models listed in the table below, as well as their associated kits.

Future changes

Other pump sizes may follow in the future when they switch to nopped diaphragms. If this happens, the model code indication will be updated accordingly.
